Clubfit Personal Training

A personal trainer maybe what you are missing from your program...

Clubfit is a group of individuals wanting to achieve their goals by using my training techniques and philosophies. It is fun, hard work and most of all rewarding. I believe that if you want to achieve some thing you need to apply yourself. Hard work gets results.

You're probably asking yourself, "Well if I apply myself, then why hire Shayne and join his Clubfit program?"

The primary reason is learning to do it right so that you achieve the results. Doing it right consists of applying good form and posture, with a motivated mind. In the mean time looking at all aspects of your ability: range of movement, respiration, innate physique, time schedule, and lifestyle. I find that personal training is not just getting to the gym for my clients but it is also mental motivation. Yes it is all up to you in the end; however, most of us need the coaching and extra drive to move ourselves forward. If you're not meeting your goals or are plateauing, you may want to consult us!

Who needs a personal trainer?

A quality personal trainer can make the difference in the success of your fitness program. Trainers provide motivation, professional expertise, and personalized attention which are essential elements for achieving your personal goals. A trainer can workout with you regularly, set up your routines weekly or bi-weekly, or even consult and develop routines via the Internet.

Personal trainers vary greatly. Educational background, training practices, session time availability, costs, and personal philosophies are all areas where you will find personal trainers differ from one to another. Working through these variables is the necessary step in choosing a personal trainer for you.

To design a safe, effective workout, a personal trainer needs a good grounding in exercise technique. A personal training or exercise certification indicates that the personal trainer has at least the basic knowledge in areas necessary to conduct a quality session.

Below is an additional list of questions to ask yourself or the prospective trainer when choosing a personal trainer:

Shayne - Personal Trainer / Lifestyle Coach

Clubfit Success Stories:

Gail:
I started having Shayne as a personal trainer after I was a member at his club Bodyz in Motion for some time. I hired him to help me loosen the weight I had put on from quitting smoking and being a student for a year I have always gone to the gym and lifted weights. I had always consider myself in fairly decent physical shape "until Shayne". I have lost 17lbs and though I never considered myself heavy. I now have more muscle tone and fitness that I have always wanted ..... and pow there it is!
Thanks

Paula R.:
I have always been a big girl, a chubby gal, a large lady and finally I've had to face the fact that I am an obese adult. I've been dieting since I was eight years old and there isn't a diet I haven't tried from the Grapefruit diet to the Banana and Peanut Butter diet, to the Cabbage Soup diet. I've tried them all with little success. I kept trying to lose weight by osmosis, I thought if I read diet books or joined a gym I would magically be inspired to eat better and exercise. What I didn't do was actually eat less or go to the gym and exercise. Lifestyle and genetics finally caught up with me, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 1996. I was in a state of denial until I became very ill in October 2002. My illness was unrelated to diabetes but it was a Wake Up Call for me to start taking my health seriously before my lifestyle killed me.
I first met Shane Varey in 2000 when I joined yet another gym. When I finally got serious about my health I remembered Shane, I had heard that he was a personal trainer. I knew I needed help to stay focused and disciplined and that I would not be able to make the necessary food and exercise changes without constant support and coaching. Shane started working with me in January 2003. My original plan was to work out 5 days a week, I quickly realized that not having ever exercised on a regular basis I had set an unrealistic goal for myself. I haven't been as consistent as I would have liked but Shane never gave up on me and this has kept me going. He has helped me stay mentally and emotionally focused to change my eating habits and I have gradually increased the intensity of my work outs. After three months of working with Shane I have lost 30 lbs. and a total of 10 inches. I feel stronger, lighter and more confident. I still have a long way to go to reach my goals and I can't say it's getting easier. I struggle every day with making better food choices and smaller portion sizes. I still have to push myself to work out but I know I am on the right track and that I never would have been able to come this far without a trainer and personal coach. For anyone who is where I was do yourself the favor of a lifetime and consider the benefits of working with a personal trainer. It could save your life, I know it's saving mine.

Angela G.:
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia now for approximately 13 years.
I believe I have had it for many years prior to being diagnosed with it.
It is a painful muskuloskeletal condition affecting widespread areas of the body. And affecting people in varying degrees of discomfort. Some suffers are literally bedridden, while others function most of the time with some limitations. I my- self am in pain daily but consider myself functional. I started exercising at Bodyz In Motion as of 2002 and have been doing so fairly consistently 3-5 days per week since. I do an interval training program consisting of free weights and machines, along with cardio equipment. I have found this to be very effective and beneficial to me, not only in the physical aspect but mentally as well. I am also seeing some definite changes in the appearance of my body. I will admit it is tough some days to push myself due to the pain and fatigue. But I am encouraged every time I complete a work out, it is such an accomplishment to anyone who does this, even more so to people like me!
I don't want to pretend to know the capabilities of each person dealing with
fibromyalagia. Iam only writing this article to let other suffers know what has been a positive step in my life with regards to FM. Iam not painfree, and not sure if I ever will. But I believe for me building my body slowly and consistently through weight and cardio training has been a challenging yet very rewarding experience. I encourage you to see Shayne @ Bodyz to discuss a program customized just for you and your situation.

Richard L.:
At my doctors recommendation I started an exercise program designed by Shayne and approved by my physiotherapist to help my lower back problems. After working out for 3 mth's my back is stronger, pain free & feels better than it has in years. My general health has improved as well as my posture. My energy and metabolism has increased & the added range of motion has improved my golf game!
