What does your daily routine look like? Do you work a 9-5 type job where you are in meetings all day long, drinking coffee? Do you take two coffee breaks every afternoon? While there are many health benefits of coffee the high dosages that most people are consuming may be contributing to your failed fitness goals. No a single black coffee a day won’t hurt you. In fact, there is plenty of research suggesting that a cup of black java will help you with weight loss, boosting your metabolism, reducing depression, reducing the risk of some cancers , and providing you with energy to get your workout done. The problem however, is that most people prefer sweetened coffee drinks that are full of hidden empty calories. Did you know you can track the amount of calories in your drinks online? There are many sites that can tell you exactly how many calories are in your favourite beverage, this will help determine if that third or fourth cup is really worth it or if you can reduce the calories by cutting syrups or changing milks.

Success is Different For Everyone- Accomplish YOUR goals!

People go to the gym for a variety of reasons; to gain muscle mass, to lose weight, to tone up, to reduce stress, to increase flexibility, to improve quality of life, or for any combination of the above. There is no doubt that everyone around you during your workout has a different health or fitness goal. This is important to keep in mind when you are working out. Just because someone is lifting more, running faster or sweating more it doesn’t mean that they are accomplishing their goal better than you. Now, if you get your daily newspaper read and catch up on your emails via your smart phone while at the gym then yes, those people that are lifting, running and sweating ARE accomplishing their goal better than you. But for the rest of you who are working out, the most important advice we can give you is to not compare yourself to others. Success is different for everyone. You need to set your own goals and work to accomplish them, and only them. If your health goals are unrealistic then you’re setting yourself up for failure.
